Trail Overview
This 8.4-mile out-and-back trail climbs 718 feet and drops 356 feet before peaking at 10,475 feet. The sandy track runs through meadows surrounded by the Eastern Sierras and surrounding hills, offering scenic high-country terrain throughout the journey. The route is very dusty and ends at a beautiful meadow where visitors are asked to stay out of the meadow area and keep it pristine for environmental preservation.

Difficulty
This trail earns a moderate difficulty rating with its sandy surface featuring lots of washboards and some whoops throughout. After the first mile, you start encountering rock gardens, with a few sections of deep ruts adding to the challenge. After mile 2, the trail becomes harder with numerous rock gardens, requiring 4x4 and high clearance vehicles. At mile 3.4, the rock gardens become more challenging, and the last half mile features rock gardens that will challenge the difficulty rating.
