Trail Overview
This scenic out-and-back route is a fantastic choice for those who want a front-row seat to the industrial and natural beauty of the Cajon Pass. As you navigate the trail, you will be rewarded with sweeping vistas of the San Gabriel Mountain range and unique, high-vantage views of the Interstate 15 corridor and the active BNSF train tracks. The trail eventually leads you right down toward the tracks, making it a favorite spot for railfans and photographers. Just remember to be extremely cautious and stay a safe distance from the railroad property at the turnaround point.

Difficulty
The difficulty can get a little spicy, especially where the trail features some steep, punchy sections that require steady throttle control. While manageable in dry conditions, the road surface is highly susceptible to heavy erosion, often leaving behind large ruts and washed-out sections after a storm. Always pick your lines carefully on the descent to avoid getting hung up on the uneven terrain.
