Trail Overview

This will take you to the top of Pilot Knob Mountain. It is a short road, but the beautiful view is worth a detour if you haven't been. The elevation is 2,080 feet at the top. The first 200 feet of the climb is a rocky step that is mildly steep but doable in any 4x4 with a low range.

There's a short steep rock ledge to climb at the start, around 18 inches in height. There's a large campsite at the top.

The trail was cool to drive up but the trees at the top have grown to a point of severely obstructing the views. I can imagine what it once was but can hardly see anything now.
