Trail Overview
This route is a short, out-and-back style road that provides access to the Oden Rifle Range and Rifle Range Pond. This road is generally well-maintained and accessible by 2WD and low-clearance vehicles. The road surface is primarily gravel and dirt, with a few mud holes being the primary obstacle. The Oden Rifle Range is a free public use range maintained jointly by the US Forest Service and Oden High School's "woods and waters club". The Rifle Range Pond is a public-access stocked pond also maintained by both of the previously mentioned organizations. There is a short walking path and benches circling the pond, and it is mowed. This pond is home to a yearly fishing derby in early June.
