Trail Overview
This maintained trail is bumpy and rocky, descending steeply from the paved road into a valley where a beautiful river flows. Unfortunately, the area has suffered significant storm damage, including a tornado that passed through in late April 2025. The trail passes near several private properties, resulting in a fair amount of local traffic. Along the route, there are a few dispersed campsites, including some located near the river, though campers should check the weather forecast carefully before setting up due to the risk of rising water during heavy rain. The trail lacks amenities such as trash disposal and water supply, and cell service is limited.
