Trail Overview
Accessed through a suburb, this trail at first appears not to be very interesting, but the further you travel, the more scenic the trail becomes. Winding through ranchland, the trail is bumpy, dusty, and rocky but not challenging until you reach the trail down to the small lake where camping is possible. Surrounded by mountains and canyons, this is a fun trail that continues further as two tracks both from the small lake and the above-access road. At the split from the Wise Mesa trail, there is a sign that warns of no through access. This trail is dry, rocky, and off-camber in many places and becomes a challenging track as it drops down into the valley. As there is no exit, one must be sure that they are able to drive back up the trail, as we have confirmed that there is a locked Border Patrol gate at the end of the trail. There are no facilities such as trash, water, or ablutions, and very little traffic.
