Trail Overview

Winding Ponderosa Way connects Hull Cabin Road to a small cross-country ski trail loop on its North end. While driving the rolling rocky two-track, you'll see the burn scar from the many fires that shape this area of the Kaibab National Forest. You'll find no obstacles on this road over 12". While it's a forest road adjacent to Grand Canyon National Park, it is rock and dirt, and is unmaintained after rain or snow. This road has some cool, short climbs through trees as you head North.

Decided to tackle this trail at night. I would not recommend it but we made it out alive! Very cool experience. Many mud holes so it's best to have rescue boards just in case. The route is easy to follow but it can get really rough and rocky in some places. We saw a deer and an elk. There is a wooden and barbed wire fence closer to the exit towards the 64 but you can open it carefully and pass through. just remember to close it after you're done.
