Trail Overview
The Wilderness Edge Trail is a one-lane rocky path that brings you right to the heart of the desert's rugged beauty. Erosion and water damage add some character to the trail, with sections that require careful tire placement as the wash crossings and ditches have some steep entrances and exits. The route transitions into a sandy wash, offering a change in terrain before concluding at the striking Arizona Aqueduct. This trail delivers a short but adventurous escape, perfect for those looking to explore the wilderness boundary and experience a mix of rocky and sandy challenges.

Difficulty
This is an unmaintained trail with varying terrain. While there are no major obstacles on this trail, there are places where wash crossings, erosion, and water damage have shaped the surfaces and may become exacerbated by wind and water events. It's also important to note there is no "sanctioned" or official exit from this trail to the South, as it leads to no less than 6 locked gates at the Arizona Aqueduct. There is little to no cell service in the area, so offline maps are recommended.
