Trail Overview

This Jeep trail will take you a different way into the area north of Box Canyon. The route in from SR 79 is easy, and the eastern end of this entry is very scenic with mountain views and nice stands of saguaro. Once you get into the concentration of trails north of Box Canyon, this track will take you up and down ridges, in and out of washes, and along deeply washed roads until you just say "WhoopDeDo!" You will be on roads most people have not discovered. Some are well-traveled - some are not - but all are a bunch of fun. Roller Coaster is near the end of the run and is aptly named. It has numerous steep climbs and descents that will "tickle your tummy" just like a roller coaster. Only drive this one if you are comfortable with steep roads. Watch for this strange saguaro on your way down from Roller Coaster.
