Trail Overview
FR 2743 is a rough, rocky road that will take you from open meadows through the mixed pine of the Kaibab National Forest on the Coconino Plateau. The views on this road are beautiful and wide enough to see the summer monsoon storms rolling across Arizona's rugged landscape. If you're lucky, you'll see wild horses and elk grazing together and running across the meadows. While rocky in some places, this road does not have any obstacles over 12", though the mud ruts may prove challenging after a rain or snowstorm.
