Trail Overview

West Rim Road is two vehicles wide with gravel and rated as a class 2. There are many side tails that will allow hours of exploring and discovering the beauty that is around the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. Along the route, there is a National Historical Lookout Register and Lookout Canyon Trail system. Winter times allow for snowmobile travel throughout the trails.

Access Description

Jacob lake follows Highway 67 towards North Rim Grand Canyon. Dumonte Campground is on the right and just pass the Westside Road will turn to the right. From Fredonia, AZ follow highway 89A east out of town and highway 22 will turn to the right. Highway 22 will remain pavement for about 24 miles and turn to gravel which will be the start of West Side Road.
