Trail Overview

This short sweet trail cuts across the "Front" side of the Black Hills. It starts at one end in the loose sandy riverbed and ends on the other side with a nice big graded trail. The trail itself consists of very loose rocky sections with deep washouts and steep off-camber transitions. There are a few other trails along the way to explore and one not very level open area where camping appears to have happened before. Be careful if the narrow section with Cholla "Jumping" cactus and watch for very sharp rocks that may puncture a sidewall. There is no cellular coverage and it's the desert so plan ahead and bring plenty of water.

Difficulty

Loose steep rocky hill climbs, off-camber sections, and deep washouts make the trail more challenging.
