Trail Overview

Sa1004 is a point-to-point trail running from Fh1095 to private property, connecting several other trails in the area. The trail is wide and easily driven, suitable for all vehicles with high clearance. From Fh1095, the route climbs out of a wash onto Sa1004. The surface is a rocky gravel road with rock berms. Along the trail, you'll find a cattle corrals and multiple water tanks. The trail passes through State Trust land, and a permit is required. No camping is allowed within a quarter mile of water tanks. The surrounding terrain features desert creosote, cactus, prickly pear, and yucca, with rocky mountainous terrain toward the private property boundary. The trail crosses a wash and includes mild hills. While generally easy to drive, it could become impassable in bad weather. The trail dead-ends at private property. Notably, there are no posted "No Trespassing" or private property signs, but traveling beyond the end of the trail will lead you through private property. Expect excellent wildlife viewing opportunities and beautiful views of Spring Canyon and Bryce Mountain throughout the drive.
