Trail Overview
Picacho Wash is a point-to-point gravel wash trail that begins off Castle Hot Springs Road. The route quickly drops into a tight, overgrown wash with winding S-turns that weave between tall canyon walls, narrowing in several sections. Pinstripes should be expected. The trail is hard to find direction in a couple of areas, but follow the map, and you should pick it right back up around the corner or around the overgrown trees. Two motorcycle tracks branch off along the route. The trail runs on Arizona State Trust land, so a permit is required. Not passable in bad weather.
