Trail Overview
The Lucky 7 Run starts at a cool railroad tunnel and heads North, out into the Kaibab National Forest. In this forest of mixed pine and Juniper Trees, you'll find that the trail meanders and winds along the rolling hills. Because of this, there are frequent wash crossings and off-camber erosion cuts that crisscross sections of the trail. With sporadic rock garden-type areas, this trail is wide and dirt/mud mixed. There are a few small campsites along this trail, though they are spread out. You'll see evidence of elk, antelope, and wild burros along this trail, which makes it a great trail for getting away into nature.
