Trail Overview

This trail connects MST&T road to Powerline road while skirting along the northern edge of the Kofa Wilderness. This two-track trail leads you through the desert with the typical rocks for the area. The trail dips in and out of washes along the way and provides some stunning views of the Kofa peak from a side that you can't see without taking this road. Near the Powerline road end, be sure to stop and explore Kofa Cabin.

Difficulty

You will encounter two long wash entries along this route but they are well sloped and can be navigated in 2WD. The entirety of the trail is 2 track with a limited places to pass along the way at established camp sites. Expect to encounter two way traffic and the need to yield. Seasonal rains can impact the trail. Expect wash outs after heavy rain.

Access this trail from either end or about 2 miles in as it crosses over the Burro Canyon trail at the 4-way. Please remain on the marked roads as you are traveling on designated access through the protected desert.
