Trail Overview
Cow Creek Ridge is a heavily used connector road that provides access to Trail 28001 and Trail 28002. The route is an easy, well-maintained gravel road with large gravel sections and generally smooth driving conditions. This trail is suitable for 2WD or 4WD vehicles, making it a good access route for a wide range of vehicles heading deeper into the area. The trail is lined with classic Sonoran Desert vegetation, including palo Verde trees, cholla, and towering saguaro cacti, with beautiful surrounding mountain views throughout the drive. One of the highlights of Cow Creek Ridge is the excellent sunset views, making it a great scenic route for an evening drive.
