Trail Overview
The Jam Ranch Trail was a great way to end my day. This trail has many washes sporting varying stages of erosion. One, in particular, may get you to hang a tire and has an off-camber mid-steep climb. The rest of the trail has the standard erosion. Nearer to the South end, there are many large open spots of varying sizes that could accommodate many vehicles including trucks and trailers. Most of these spots feature one or more primitive rock fire rings. The sections between the washes are flown and not so narrow, so there's little need to worry about paint damage. South of the center of the trail is the Jam Ranch property, with signage that passing through is fine but to TREAD LIGHTLY and please stay on designated trails. Near this area are also the ruins of an old homestead that can be checked out if you're inquisitive enough.
