Trail Overview
This is a mile-long ATV trail through the BLM land near Salome, Arizona. The trail is wide like a road, covered in a layer of small loose rocks. It rides through a scenic valley of saguaro cactus and ocotillos, and the rolling hills can be very green in the springtime. The trail is easy to follow, with lots of tracks. Watch out for sudden dips into ravines or ruts running horizontally across the trail from erosion. The trail leaves the desert valley floor and starts climbing up one of the taller hills, following a rockier path that becomes a bit steeper as you climb, with uneven and rutted ground. It crosses several washes and ravines as you climb. There was one major washout that the trail goes around. The trail ends on another dirt road near the boundary of BLM and private property, although this boundary is not marked. You can connect to several other trails from here.
