Trail Overview

This trail leads from the Vekol Wash to one of the crests of the Haley Hills. You can stand on top and see over both sides of the hill, north and south. Beware of lots of cholla cactus in the northern portion. This trail also connects with 2 other minor trails shortly after it leaves the wash.

Difficulty

The trail is pretty easy, however, the final climb to the top of the hill is significantly steep. Depending on conditions, the rock can be very slick, leading heavier vehicles to have traction problems and requiring sawing the wheels to climb. Top-heavy machines may have a higher risk of rolling, and the steep incline could also lead to popping a wheelie if you find traction while heavy into the throttle. This potentially leads to flipping over backward. Use caution on the hill climb when conditions are wet.

Like someone else said, get into the basin at the end of north hidden valley road and you're good to go, just follow the basin to the trail.

Idiot like blocking and signs saying closed no vehicles looks like it may have been done by the home owners along the trail

Muddy/Wet
A few minor mud holes, but the moisture actually helps in climbing the hill, as the rock is more prone to stay in place, rather that when its dry and powdery they are very loose and it is harder to climb.
