Trail Overview
This trail begins as an easy, wider road, but after passing an old ranch and a section of private property, it quickly narrows and becomes much rockier. Several washouts force you into off-camber positions, requiring careful tire placement. The crux of the trail is a steep switchback descent into a wash, followed by a rocky climb out through a rock garden with another switchback as you ascend. From there, the trail continues with multiple steep shelf sections as you climb up towards Thompson Mesa, adding sustained technical difficulty to the remainder of the route.

Difficulty
This trail earns its rating due to the sustained rocky terrain, off-camber washouts, and multiple steep shelf climbs. High clearance 4WD is absolutely necessary, and drivers should be comfortable with technical rock sections, ledges, and uneven, exposed climbs before attempting it.
