FS 1738

Trail Overview

FS 1738 is a fun little trail with a few washouts that leads to a network of other trails. The majority of this trail goes in and out of a wash that is full of cattle, so be very aware of your speed. This trail will change with rain as the sides of the wash get washed out. When turning off Highway 188, there is a steep drop that goes down to a gate, and if you are heading north off the trail, beware of Highway 188 traffic as you go up and enter the road.

Difficulty

The road is narrow for a single vehicle and has spots to pass. There are a couple of obstacles that are about 12 inches deep and a steep drop as you turn off the highway onto this trail. Approximately half of the trail is in a wash.
