Trail Overview
This trail is full of small rocks with a relatively even rock surface, though progress is slow going due to the rocky terrain. The route follows a ridgeline, climbing up and down hills with drop-offs on both sides, giving you stunning views of the area around you. The trail is lined with various types of cactuses and sagebrush, with seasonal wildflowers abundant at certain times of year. Watch for small cactuses on the edge of the road as the narrow ridgeline doesn't leave much margin for error. On the west side, there are two big steep hills that can be a challenge, with the transition at the bottom being a wash that long wheelbases will have issues navigating. You can bypass the steep hills by continuing down EC1304 if you'd rather avoid the technical section.

Difficulty
The rocky surface and ridgeline navigation with drop-offs on both sides require attention and careful driving. The two steep hills on the west side are the main technical challenge, especially the wash transition at the bottom that creates problems for longer wheelbase vehicles. High clearance is essential, and skilled line choice matters on this route.
