Trail Overview
This 1.5-mile trail drops over 150 feet as it heads directly toward the Trigo Mountains into the foothills, offering a beautiful departure from the relatively flat desert. The trail is 1 to 2.5 vehicles wide with a graded sand and gravel surface. It's lined with desert flowers, brush, and tall cacti that frame your journey into the mountains. The first half is relatively smooth, but watch out for the occasional deep ruts that cut across the road. The second half gets more rocky with lots of uneven surfaces that will test your suspension. Near the end, you'll encounter one small, steep, rocky, and sandy hill that adds a final challenge before the trail concludes.
