Trail Overview
Durham Pole Line serves as a fantastic connector trail, allowing you to transition smoothly from Durham Wash Right, where it narrows on the Eastern end onto a slightly wider path. This trail begins at the west with a relatively tight corridor bordered on both sides by creosote bushes that may brush not so gently against your vehicle's paint, adding a touch of desert charm to your rig. You'll encounter a few washouts as you progress, offering opportunities for some light suspension articulation, yet nothing too complex or intimidating. The road maintains a straight trajectory for a significant distance, providing a pleasant drive through the desert landscape. Keep your eyes peeled for a historical treasure hidden along the trail--a U.S. Geological Survey marker from 1919. Midway through your adventure, you'll come to an intersection where the trail dips back into the wash, navigating through soft sand before emerging again. You will rejoin the telephone lines as you approach Goff Ranch Road, a well-groomed option to travel through the area. Important Note: Throughout most of the trail, you can expect around two bars of LTE service, but it's still recommended to download your offline maps before your excursion. As always, prepare for the desert environment by bringing plenty of water and supplies to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience. Happy trails on the Durham Pole Line!

Difficulty
The Durham Pole Line is rated as a 3, primarily due to slight off-camber sections, some smaller washouts, and lengthy narrow stretches where oncoming traffic may find it challenging to pass without one of you having to reverse. A brief section of soft sand adds to the adventure.
