Trail Overview
The Date Creek's Entry is a narrow trail with rock sections, washouts, erosion, water damage, and crack-straddling hill climbs. Sections of this trail are up and down hills with loose rock and erosion sections. There are wash crossings along this trail, as well as erosion throughout. It's important to note that some of this damage may become worse or hazardous after or during monsoon season or after a moisture event. The trail tends to get gradually worse the further East you go, with features of the trail overlapping in their nature. You might have an off-camber hill climb with erosion, and then a wash crossing at the bottom. There is no cell service in this area, so offline maps are recommended. There are sections where campsites have been established, and some even include large primitive rock fire rings. This area is Arizona State Land Trust land and requires a permit that can be purchased online.
