Trail Overview
This mile-long dirt bike trail starts on a corner of North Castle Hot Springs Road, and dead ends in the rugged desert mountains overlooking the Bitter Creek wash. It climbs up a couple hundred feet elevation in the first half mile, with the steepest sections in the beginning. The path is pretty wide all the way up but is really rocky the entire time. There are constant small loose gravelly rocks, but also sections where the trail is completely filled in with golf ball-sized rocks, or have big baby heads that ping you around. It makes it really hard to maintain momentum on the way up and will be really loose on the way down. It traverses around the hillsides on a shelfy path, doing some side-hilling. Some sections have bigger boulders as well. The whole route is really scenic in the saguaro forest, but it must be ridden as an out and back. Since this trail is on Arizona State Trust Land, it requires a recreation permit that you can obtain online.

Difficulty
This is an intermediate dirt bike trail because it has really rocky loose climbs that will be challenging for newer riders.
