Trail Overview
This 3.5-mile-long trail starts on a ridge line on the north end. The trail is pretty wide in spots but also a narrow single track in many spots, making it most ideal for dirt bikes only. Be aware that it's tightly lined with cholla cactus. The trail overall descends from north to south but is constantly going up and down the desert hills throughout the route, with big hill climbs and descents. The hills are often rutted and steep and covered in loose rocks. There's some shelfy side hilling required to get around the hillsides at times. Several of the climbs are extremely rutted, like a trough, where you have to ride inside a 2-foot-deep rut that is dug out and will grab your pegs. Some of the climbs have more embedded rock, but some have loose baby heads that will make it very hard to keep momentum. Dual sport four-stroke riders will likely be spinning on the climbs. One of the climbs also has a bigger embedded rock ledge halfway up the climb, but you can kind of skirt around it. It's a pretty fun route with some good challenges and great views along the way.
