Trail Overview
The 13 Mashup trail was run South to North. At its South end, it begins on a dirt runway adjacent to an rv park and Old Alamo Road. Quickly though, you're out into the desert and the safety of the Creosote and thorny bushes that make up the fauna of this area of the desert. As you proceed Northward, you'll encounter many intersecting trails. This trail is narrow, with varying terrain of rock, dirt, and soft, deep sand in washes. Many of the wash crossings have steep short entrances and exits. This trail rolls through the terrain, with some sections being so narrow paint damage is all but guaranteed. There are some great views along this trail as you head North, looking toward the Arrasta Mountain Wilderness. There are no major obstacles along this trail, though the terrain and washes may change over time due to use and moisture events.
