FS 337

Trail Overview

FS 337 is a generally well-maintained forest service road running north-south through the heart of the Conecuh National Forest in southern Alabama. As one of the main thoroughfares through the forest, it offers scenic views of longleaf pine stands, open understory habitat, and abundant wildlife viewing opportunities. This mostly gravel and pine-needle twin track is typically in good condition, though drivers should expect occasional ruts, stretches of soft sugar sand, and mud holes after heavy rain. Conditions can vary seasonally, especially in low-lying areas. With numerous access points along the route, FS 337 serves as a gateway to additional side roads and backcountry trails, making it a popular choice for dispersed camping, overlanding, hunting access, and quiet scenic drives.
