Trail Overview

This coastal route connects San Jose El Faro to the Chapala Intermittent Route. The trail features a series of short, steep grades with a combination of dirt and rocky terrain, some of which may have a slight incline. It offers a pleasant driving experience along the coast, with minimal challenges and picturesque views. The road alternates between smooth and rocky sections, and there is no traffic, making it an enjoyable drive. When you reach the intersection of the Chapala Intermittent Route, you will be near Punta Blanca. This route offers access to popular surf breaks known as the Seven Sisters and unlimited camping options.

Difficulty

This is an easy trail in dry conditions. Be aware that in December and during storms tides are high and estuaries that this trail passes will not be passable and you must take the routes around these low lying wetlands. Always use caution and look for recent tire tracks and walk these areas when condition is in question. These are remote areas so carry extra supplies and be aware that the nearest advertised fuel is 4 hours either direction from here in El Rosario or Jesus Maria.
