Trail Overview
This off-road trail begins off the Valle Tranquilo main route, with entry points near an old structure where two trails converge, or slightly further along the track. Starting at its official beginning, the path is initially a two-track but soon narrows, accommodating only motorcycles as it winds past the old structure and veers into a 180-degree turn toward the Mesa. Along the way, riders will encounter a washed-out section requiring a dip to the left, followed by a challenging climb out of the gully. The trail then reverts to a lightly used two-track, climbing gradually with occasional cacti encroaching on the path due to minimal recent traffic. Although a few steep sections with ruts demand caution, the route is rated for motorcycles and generally manageable. As the Mesa levels out, the terrain resembles a natural reserve across the canyon, while desert vegetation becomes denser, and the original two-track splits into a one-track with multiple offshoots. The trail ultimately nears the end of the main trail on the Mesa, the intended end-point. For those aiming to connect the two trails, tire inserts are recommended, as numerous cactus balls can attach to tires, which curtailed this ride before the loop was completed.
