Trail Overview
Departing from the main road to Laguna Hanson, the trail initially presents itself as a well-maintained dirt road, remaining smooth and manageable for the first few miles. However, once you veer right at the fork and venture into the mountains, the terrain transforms dramatically. The route begins to undulate with frequent steep and rocky ascents and descents, offering a challenging drive. In the canyon, you'll encounter a shallow water crossing that may become more difficult as winter approaches. After navigating these rugged stretches, you'll be rewarded with spectacular high-altitude views. As you continue, you'll pass a vast green onion field before arriving at a T-junction, marking the end of this segment of the trail.

Difficulty
While the trail is not excessively challenging, 4WD is necessary for navigating some of the steep, rocky sections. The water crossing is generally shallow, but it could become more treacherous after storms or during the winter season. Prior to one of the steepest ascents, there is a left turn that is notably washed out, necessitating careful wheel placement to avoid difficulties.
