Trail Overview
This trail begins at Los Inocentes and heads southeast into the salt flats, offering a glimpse of a local family cemetery before transitioning to relatively smooth, low-difficulty terrain. The route wanders in and out of the salt flats before requiring a sharp 90 degrees left turn toward the main road. Initially, the road is wide and open, but it quickly narrows, making it challenging for larger vehicles to avoid scratches in certain areas along this two- to three-mile stretch. Evidence of its history as a Baja race route is apparent, with deeply rutted sections, although alternative paths are often available. As you ascend, the trail becomes progressively tighter, with three to four spots that may necessitate 4WD. The trail concludes at an intersection with a more heavily traveled main road, offering a clear transition to your next destination.
