Trail Overview
This trail begins off Highway 1 and connects to Dos Ranchos Road approximately six miles in. Initially, it offers a well-maintained and frequently traveled path, but after about a mile, it transitions into a less-used sandy route. Passing by remnants of an old ranch, the road reflects its history as an off-road racecourse, featuring 18-inch whoops and deeply bedded corners. The final stretch introduces more technical terrain, with areas of exposed hard rock requiring careful wheel placement or the use of bypass routes. Highlights include a single river crossing and a half-mile section of loose sand about six inches deep before the trail reconnects with Dos Ranchos Road heading towards the coast.
