Trail Overview

This beginner-level trail is accessible directly from Highway 125 and traverses the Ouareau Forest Regional Park. The full route covers approximately 11 kilometer round trip and typically takes about 90 minutes to complete, as there is no exit at the far end. Approximately 70% of the trail accommodates only a single vehicle width, and cell reception along the route is inconsistent. The terrain consists primarily of dirt roads with intermittent loose, rocky sections featuring inclines of up to 16-degrees, offering an enjoyable experience for novice off-road drivers. Take time to pause, enjoy the tranquil scenery, and appreciate the view overlooking Lake Orignal. Don't be surprised to see some wildlife, such as Deer and Grouse. Expect a mix of Level 1 and Level 2 difficulty. Near the end, the trail narrows and includes larger obstacles that may exceed the beginner rating. Drivers are encouraged to park and continue on foot if conditions feel challenging. Roughly 100 meters ahead, a handmade bridge constructed from fallen trees marks the official end of the trail. Time to begin your return, you've reached the "Lake Noir". Crossing this structure is absolutely not recommended.
