Trail Overview

The Rimshot FSR 124 is a forestry gravel road through Land Between The Lakes National Recreation Area. The road is partially well maintained on the southern end with the northern half showing decent wear and degradation. The road fades into partial dirt in a few areas and includes medium grades, minor ruts, water collection holes, and slight off-camber sections. The road connects three routes together, the Tornado Valley FSR 112, FSR 117, and FSR 126. At the north end of the road, there is a camping area off the FRS 126, at 37.01976, -88.11441.

Difficulty

The road includes a few off camber ruts, at least two water collection holes that probably are in the foot depth ballpark, and the gravel fades into dirt in areas.

Access Description

From the I-24 overpass at Dover Road/KY-453 head south on KY State Highway 453 for 9.6 miles, and turn left on to Tornado Valley FSR 112 at 36.95222, -88.15420. Follow the FSR 112 for 5.9 miles, you will arrive at the center of the FSR 124, at 37.01203, -88.10033.
