SR 119 runs through the eastern portion of Blackwater River State Forest in northwest Florida. This quiet forest route winds through long stretches of mixed pine woodland and sandy forest terrain, offering a peaceful drive through one of Florida's largest state forests The road is periodically maintained but remains a natural forest route. Expect sandy sections, ruts, and occasional water crossings depending on weather conditions. During or after rain, water crossings and rutted areas may exceed 12 inches in depth.

This trail includes sandy sections that may become soft and require careful navigation. Watch for wildlife, fallen branches, and debris along the route. The historic homestead structure is unstable; observe from a distance and do not enter the building.
