Trail Overview

FS 2107 begins at its intersection with Old Highway 64 and navigates north to its intersection with County Highway W. This is a fast paced moderatly maintained forest road that can be used to quickly navigate from the lower portion of the Nicolet National Forest to the upper portion. This trail is wide enough for two vehicles in most areas; there are several spots where, at speed, it would be hard to pass oncoming traffic. The route consists of loose gravel that is moderately maintained, helping to reduce long sections of washboard or deep ruts created by recurrent traffic. The surrounding terrain and scenery are a mix of flat land and rolling hills. Along with sections of forest that have been recently harvested, and other sections that are overgrown and mature. Sight lines throughout the trail are okay to good, and greatly depend on what section of the trail is being navigated. This trail is also open to ATV/ SxS traffic. Cell service in this area is acceptable for the most part; however, downloaded maps are never a bad idea since the towers in this area can become crowded from summer tourists, leading to slow service. Most forest roads in this area have some amount of snowmobile trail traffic on them in the winter months. It is best to avoid them when there is snow on the ground.

Difficulty

This trail can be easily navigated by riders of any experience level. Like most trails in this area, the trails are maintained but not on a regular basis. After heavy rain, washouts and soft spots in the trail can be expected. Additionally, there is always the chance of debris washing onto the trail from the surrounding hills or falling onto the trail from the surrounding trees. The trail has okay to good sight lines throughout, and the trail width changes several times in several areas where it would be hard for vehicles to pass each other at speed.
