This is an easy, family oriented ride. Paved and gravel roads. Road climbs up into the Vulcan Mtn region, with mostly forested roads. Expect to encounter dusty conditions in the summer and fall, or muddy conditions following storms.

Some small fallen trees, light enough to drag aside. Grazing cows on the road. Road was well maintained with only a few spots with light washboarding, and another short section with shallow mildly rocky ruts

Access Description

From Republic, Washington, take Hwy 21 north to Curlew, Washington. On the left, as you enter Curlew, is Tugboat's restaurant. This is a large, gravelled area, where there is plenty of room to park and stage.
