Trail Overview

This is a half-mile-long ATV trail that leaves directly from the Kamook staging area and goes south. It zig zags up a hillside through some pretty steep turns, on a wide, silty dirt path. It is really wide and smooth, with no obstacles, but a few ruts, and is pretty steep in spots. It's overall very easy; you just need to go into it with enough momentum for the steep spots. It climbs up a couple of hundred feet of elevation gain in the first quarter mile, crests the hill, then descends back down for the second half of the route. The path is lined with tall California black oak trees, big manzanita, and scrub oaks. It ends at the intersection with 21E250. This trail is open to motorized use 8/15 - 12/1.

Difficulty

This is an easy ATV trail as it is generally wide and obstacle-free, but it does have some steep spots to be aware of. Riders need to be aware of oncoming traffic around the blind corners. This is rated as "Moderate" by the Forest Service, likely due to the steepness.
