Trail Overview
Pipeline Road Trail is a partially maintained route running north-south, located east of Big Indian Lake within the former Bowater-Mersey lands. Ideal for beginners, this hard-packed logging road allows for an enjoyable drive without risking damage to your vehicle. The southern half features a two-lane width, which narrows slightly at mid-point, while the northern section becomes rougher with occasional washouts, especially on the hills. Along the trail, you can enjoy stunning views of Big Indian Lake, accompanied by kilometer markers that guide your journey. The last 3 kilometers of the northern end are particularly well-kept, making this trail an excellent access point to various lakes and trails in the Nova Scotia Crown Land.
