Trail Overview
This trail doesn't offer many lookout points but leads to a charming little lake at the end. It begins as a two-vehicle-wide trail, smooth and well-maintained, but quickly narrows to accommodate only one vehicle as it progresses. While the trail is in excellent condition at the outset, it deteriorates closer to the lake. Much of the drive winds through forested areas, occasionally opening into clearings. Potholes, ranging from small to medium in size, appear sporadically and sometimes cluster together. During winter, the trail isn't maintained, resulting in slippery conditions in snowy areas and rutted mud sections where snow has melted. Cell service diminishes deeper into the trail, so it's advisable to have an alternative form of communication. Spanish Lake is a small recreation site with only five camping spots.

Difficulty
This is an unmaintained road in the wintertime. There can be some puddles up to 8 inches deep, but that's usually in late winter/early spring, so they won't be there long. The potholes are small to medium in size. It's mostly one vehicle wide with occasional spots to pull over, but these are few and far between after 3.2 kilometers.
