Trail Overview
Hale Creek (The Easy Way) begins just past the 23 km mark of the Morris Valley FSR on the west side of Harrison Lake. Please be aware that this is an active logging area, so exercise caution while watching for logging trucks on your way to the trailhead. This trail is well-suited for lifted vehicles, but stock rigs can navigate it as well, though some scraping may occur on low-clearance vehicles. The path leads down to the Hale Creek Recreation Site, which is managed by the 4 Wheel Drive Association of BC. Along the way, you will encounter mild rocky sections, four creek crossings that can vary seasonally, and notable "elephant humps." Upon reaching the bottom, you will find a picturesque recreation site featuring stunning views of Harrison Lake, complete with a built structure that includes picnic tables and a fire pit, The site offers ample beach camping options as well as forested campsites, and a pit toilet. For those seeking a greater challenge, access to the recreation site is also available via the Hale Creek "The Hard Way" trail.
