Trail Overview
Empire Mills is another solid beginner-friendly trail in this area and can be used to access a lot of other trails off of it, ranging from other beginner-friendly trails all the way to very, very hard. This trail goes back and forth between wide and single track. The overall trail is quite easy to ride and faster paced, but there are two notable sections. The first time you enter the trees, the trail grade steepens for a moment, and there is an increase in the amount of small loose rocks. The second is at the end of the trail near Lava Ridge 1. The trail narrows, and there is a short continuous string of ledgy roots. They are small but just big enough to add some challenge while rolling through.
