Trail Overview

This loop is a great way to enjoy the views of the Castle Provincial Park. It offers some challenges that can be difficult in wet conditions. Mostly made of dirt with loose rocks, accompanied by rocky sections. Cell coverage is patchy & only accessible at high elevation. It offers many bridges in great shape with the exception of one bridge over a dry ditch that has an alternate route. You will encounter a few long climbs & descents at a medium grade of approximately 15%.

Difficulty

Uneven, rutted dirt trail with potential for loose rocks and washes. Potential for mud holes and trail obstacles up to 12 inches, including short steep grades that can be challenging in wet conditions. The trail is one vehicle wide with places to pass.

History

This trail is in the Castle Provincial Park & the West side portion of the loop follows the Castle Wildland Provincial Park Border.

From the North, this loop can be accessed via Rg Rd 4-0 AKA Lynx Creek Road. From the South, this loop can be accessed from the Lost Creek Road.
