Trail Overview

This is a series of well-graded or slightly bumpy roads that will take you from Ridgway to Olathe over the Uncompaghre Plateau. The south part has vast views of open ranchland, the center is in the Uncompaghre National Forest and the north part is on a high desert mesa above Robideau Creek. All roads are graded, although the Transfer Road has a few exposed ledges that make for a bumpy ride. Overall, an enjoyable trip through a wide range of environments.

Nice gravel road until forest service land then it's unmaintained and rutted. it adventully becomes snow covered at 8500ft on the straight away hill (near cattle ponds) before the old roubideau TH and patches before that, imagine it's still unpassable due to snow past old roubideau th unless your in a crazy modified 4x4 or Atv/utv. Send it! I don't know for sure you can't make it, I just turned around instead of getting to crazy and stuck!
