Trail Overview

This is a short parallel trail to Blake Ranch Road to avoid some of the main dirt roads. It meanders up into the hills and winds its way through the pinyon pine and scrub oak, curving along the hillsides above the main road. It is mostly wide and easy, on a smooth surface with some shallow ruts, dips, and bumps. Expect small loose rock, but no major obstacles. It can be slick on the pea gravel if going too fast. The route is very gradual, with scenic views throughout, and good visibility. It's just a short and sweet alternate route. The southern entrance is more rutted and abrupt, while the north entrance is smooth and easy.
