Trail Overview
This is a relatively easy and enjoyable journey through the hills just North of the town of Skykomish. The trail was cut into the hillside by the power company, and you'll serpentine underneath power towers accordingly. The track is full of enjoyable hill climbs and descents, with some incredible vistas to take in as you enjoy the roller coaster-style drive. There are multiple opportunities to stop and get out to enjoy the view along the trail. This trail has an elevation that tops out at over 1,500 feet and, therefore, will be subject to snow in the winter. The trail is an out-and-back style, which will require the driver to re-trace their route to get back out. The trail is made up of loose gravel with some significant ruts due to water runoff. Recommend a high clearance AWD/4WD vehicle to ensure no undercarriage damage.

Difficulty
The primary reason for the difficulty rating is a few portions of the trail with significant ruts that cannot be avoided. Other than that, this is an easy trail that is able to be navigated by any high-clearance vehicle.
History
This trail was cut into the landscape by the local power company so that they may service their equipment and keep the local town of Skykomish supplied with energy.
