This forest road starts off gravel-based and turns to dirt. There are several cattle guards along the trail, so watch your speed. The trail has minor ruts and wash, and there are some bumpy washboard sections. The trail travels for 8.5 miles before dead-ending at an earth barrier where there is a dispersed campsite with a pre-existing fire ring. Camping is available in multiple spots along this route. This trail provides views of the surrounding peaks and ridges, as well as some meadows and thin forest, so it is likely you may encounter wildlife. Any vehicle type could travel this trail. Cell phone service was decent along the trail, and there are no amenities. There are several split-off roads to explore off this trail. From the beginning of this trail at Highway 20, you are approximately 20 miles from the City of Kettle Falls, Washington, where you will find services and supplies.
